However, you bring up a great point: the place and circumstance of music acquisition played a huge role in the music experience for me also, and I'm sorry that I have to use the past tense, because with online this is an aspect that I really miss.

The first time I heard “Satellite Of Love” in its original form may well have been on ye olde FM radio (I wish to believe it was WNEW). The first time I heard of the song was actually through a cassette maxi-single EP by U2. I remember purchasing the cassette at HMV on W 72nd St. The single out of the 3 songs included was “One”, still my all-time favorite. Also included was “Lady With The Spinning Head”. “Satellite” is spirited, as is the case with great U2 numbers, with The Edge's guitar the perfect foil for Bono's vox.
